Tokyo School Ivory Carved Okimono of a Fisherman Carrying Bird Signed, Meiji Period (1868-1912)

He is 11 inches (28 cm) tall, and 2.75 inches (7 cm) wide.

He has hairline age cracks, foot has been broken off then glued back, missing links at the rope, small chips at the bird's feathers, and the edge of his hat (as seen in the photos).

A similar fisherman also holding bird (lot 1191) was sold at Sotheby's London Japanese Works of Art sale on July 2006.
